How to Make Affirmations Work For You

I found out a couple of years ago why I was not getting results from affirmations, which was the main reason why I stopped using them as well as my friend that I mentioned before. You see when you write out a affirmation and then you start reading it to yourself the essential key is that the affirmation has to make you feel good when you read it to yourself. When it feels good it puts you into a good vibe or vibration and thats the key to making affirmations work for you. It also explains why only a small proportion of people who use affirmations say it works for them. Because when they read them they don’t experience any negative self talk.

If it doesn’t make you feel good in any way, your wasting your time. For most people when reading affirmations they experience negative self talk like ‘I’m not fit and healthy’ or ‘I don’t have great relationships with everyone’.

Discliamer: Obviously in most cases with your affirmations you need to put into the required effort, nothing is going to happen by just reading out a sentence or two. Affirmations assist you in keeping focused on what you want and feeling good.

Making Affirmations Feel Good For You

I was referred a couple a years ago from a friend to check out this guy based in Canada, his name is Michael Losier. He wrote a book called “Law of Attraction” and I must admit is one of the easiest books I have ever read especially on the topic of Law of Attraction. He shares in his book how to write out the affirmations so it feels good for you. In his book it also has useful worksheets so you can use the strategies effectively.

Michael explains when your writing out the affirmation you write it out in a way that makes it true for you  when you read it whether or not you have achieved it. That way when you read it you don’t experience any negative feelings.

For example. Using the previous examples.

Before - ‘I am slim and healthy and feel great’  

New Version - ‘I love how it feels when I am slim and healthy and feel great’

Or

New Version - ‘I am in the process of becoming slim and healthy and that feels great’

Before -  ‘I have great relationships with everyone I know and meet’ 

New Version - ‘I love how it feels when I have great relationships with everyone I know and meet’ 

As you can see with the above affirmations by reading them you would agree its a true statement,and that would make you feel good when you read it.

I can truly say in my own experience over the last few years that affirmations have helped me in creating more of what I want and I would say that using affirmations is one of the reasons why I experience and abundant life each day, and I  am always saying that I experience lucky siutations.
