Wow, it sounds so easy, just 3 simple questions and presto your off improving your life. Well surprisingly it is easy and simple, and I know this because I just went through this exercise the other week, and believe me it took a huge load of my shoulders.

What Are The 3 Questions.

The questions are as follows:

What are you doing? – (Physically what are you doing with your time)

What’s working? (What activities are working for you)

What’s not working? (What activities are not working for you)

When you are going through these questions you must be honest with yourself, if you choose not to be honest you are only lying to yourself. So you might as well go through the process properly the first time.

So How Does it Work For Me?

When your going through the first question ‘what are you doing’, you write down all the activities your doing for a particular area of your life or all areas at once if you want ,its up to you.

Then you honestly go through and write down next to each activity which ones are ‘working for you’. When you are asking whats working for you, use your intuition, your gut feeling. You will know for you what’s working for you and what not.

For example activities for you that’s ‘working for you’ might be.

‘Going to the gym 3 times a week’ or ‘Reading to your kids each night’ is giving you satisfaction and works quite well for you. Excellent keep doing it.

Then for the last question, same thing again go through all the activities you do and write down “whats not working’

With all the activities that are ‘not working‘ give yourself permission to either stop doing ‘what’s not working’ or make a change or adjustment that would help turn that activity around and turn into an activity that ‘works for you’

Important Note: – If something is not working, it doesn’t mean the activity is wrong or you are wrong, all it means is right now its not in sync, not in flow with you right now that’s all.

Are You Busy Doing Things That Don’t Necessarily Work For You?

When I went through this activity, I realised that I was quite efficient with my time allocating my time to numerous activities that I believed would help me achieve my goals. However when I asked myself “What works’ and “What does not work’I also realised that I was busy doing a whole bunch of things that don’t work for me in one way or another and that caused me a lot of frustration. Because I was putting in the effort, and not getting closer to my goals.

So What Do You Do Now?

If you go through this exercise properly, you will find that you will need to make a decision to stop or change doing a couple or a lot of things in your life. The great thing about making the touch decisions is that you will find you will have a lot more time in your days to apply to things that work for you and hopefully make you feel good too.

Some decisions you make to stop or change ‘whats not working’ will be tough for you to make. What will others think of me, my colleagues or spouse or who ever. For a lot of people they know they need or want to make a change but are scared, the courage and confidence comes from with in not from the outside please remember.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!

DO IT NOW

I was so grateful when I discovered this simple strategy, and it can applied in your business, career or personal life which is why I love it so much.

I must acknowledge that I was shown this strategy from of my favourite teachers in my daily mentoring I receive from him each morning. I am talking about…

A few weeks ago I attended a seminar in Sydney to see Robert Kiyosaki and his advisors live on stage. I was really excited about going and enjoyed what I heard at the seminar. However one of the speakers ideas had really stayed with me on the thoughts she delivered.

I was surprised to see when Robert Kiyosaki introduced all his guests, Robert’s sister Emi Kiyosaki a Buddhist monk who has actually been ordained by the Dali lama. For a non professional speaker I must admit she spoke very well, and clearly as well as insightful. She had told us that she has been working for several years in Hospice’s, and I’m thinking to myself I don’t even know what that means. Emi explained, its when doctors can no longer help a patient to get better, that’s when she steps in, and gives emotional support for patients who are going to die.

As she started to talk I was wondering why Emi was giving a talk about caring for people who are dying in a wealth seminar, but listened on and I quickly got it. Emi said with all the years she had worked at Hospices she noticed a recurring trend with people on the regrets that they were carrying as they approached death. Emi shared that these regrets that seemed to always come up for people were:

1. Not taking a leap of faith

2. Saying what you really wanted to say to people / friends / associates etc.

3. Not forgiving people.

Now I’m sure most people who are reading this, have many many years of life to go on this great planet. However how many of us including me have considered these 3 ideas / insights here and can actually say yes I’m all good in all 3 areas that Emi covered above.

Leap Of Faith

If your one of those people that has always said one day I’ll …….. or when __________ happens I’ll go and do (fill in the blank). It could be to start a business, ask someone you like on a date ,or to start training for a sport you’ve always wanted to do. Go on that holiday to Europe, the list can go on and on, but hopefully you get the idea here. What are you waiting for. Like I have said before, when would NOW be a great time to take a leap of faith.

Saying What you Really Wanted To Say

There is no point keeping in all inside waiting for a day to come, or deciding never to share something to someone you really have wanted to say for so long. It could be positive, like telling someone special you love them (blokes out there that means you too) or it could also involve saying how upset or hurt you feel about some event that has happened in the past to the person involved. Keeping it bottled up inside causes a lot of anguish and hurt, pain and even sickness in how you feel. Those beautiful words that I’m sure everyone has heard “The truth shall set you free” (Unknown) are so true. What do you need to say today to someone to set you free?

Forgiving Others

I know I have carried a grudge or two in the past. But I also know it doesn’t serve me to not forgive others, so I do my best to forgive them and release them to their highest good (Wish good things to them).

Just like not saying what you really want to say, not forgiving others causes us to keep that anger or hurt in us til we go to the grave, and it too can and usually causes a lot of illnesses in us by holding onto our grudge and not forgiving and moving on. Robert Kiyosaki had shared on stage how last year he had a major operation that was related to Robert being very angry with several different people in the past and not forgiving them. Now I know for a lot of people who just read this, will probably won’t agree with what I wrote about not forgiving others and direct links to health related problems. That’s OK, but you have to ask yourself one question.

Is there someone or several people I need to decide to forgive about something they have done or said so I can move on?

As an exercise so you learn something new, I suggest you google the phrase ‘Anger and Illness’ and have a read on one example of how we can literally make ourselves sick by the emotions we carry with us that we don’t deal with.

After Emi Kiyosaki had shared the 3 main regrets, I could see how these beautiful insights are linked to wealth. As wealth by my definition is abundance in all areas of your life not just monetary aspects. So having a clear A-Ha moment that there may be some areas that we need to work on so that we can become happier and healthier and hence wealthier made so much sense to me.

I hope what I have shared has benefited you in one way or another, or at least caused you to think about making changes if needed.

Hello and welcome,

Are you experiencing positive situations in your life as often and as good as you would love to experience in your life?

Do you tend to experience more situations or events that you don’t like or want in your life?

If you answered No to the first question, and yes to second question you will probably be very interested in what I’m about to talk about with you.

Do you believe in events or things that happen to you are just coincindental and random and you usually have no control over them, or do you believe different?

For me personally, my belief is that everything that I experience in my life, I have created consciously (I’m aware), or unconsciously (I’m not aware) that I have created it. I had heard this belief some years ago that someone one was using, and the main reason why I decided to take it on board for me as one of my new beliefs was that it put me in control of what happens in my life, and it also enables me to take responsibility for the good and the bad things that happen in my life. The other reason why I believe this is I found out ‘what we think we become’ Buddha.

What Does This All Mean For Me?

If you are not experiencing positive situations in your life as often and as good as you would love to experience in your life or not at all, then stop and look at what your thinking about most often. You probably have not observed what you think about on a daily basis, and like everything it takes practise. If this sounds all too weird or foreign to you, that’s ok. Understanding of these concepts takes time but when you get it, and start to apply it you will notice positive changes in your life just like the other ideas I have talked about in my previous posts.

So if you become what you are thinking, what have you been thinking about today, yesterday last week, month or even last year. A great way to find out what that is, is to have a look at both your results and what you have been experiences in your life. You will know if your honest with yourself if you need to make changes on what you are thinking.

Expereincing Great Things By Expecting What You Want

You may or may not understand that ‘we become what we think about’, but if your willing to have a go and try and make it work for you then your half way there. Excellent so just like in my last post when I talked about using affirmations click here if you have not read it or want to refresh on it. You ideally want to be feeding yourself with thoughts and ideas that you want more of. That is why I suggested you use affirmations in your life so your creating the direction of what you want rather then thinking about what you don’t have or what you don’t like.

Now that you aware of what you want and your directing your thoughts through positive affirmations the next step is to Expect it to happen. That’s right you need a certain amount of belief / faith and expectation to help you to attract more great things. There is no point in thinking certain ideas and thoughts and not believing in them, it just won’t work effectively.

If you think about a time in the past, I bet you can recall a time when you used this point in the opposite way to expect some thing bad to happen, I know I have several times before. For example two things have not gone well in the same day, so you say ‘Bad things come in threes’ and bingo before you know it it arrives right on schedule, and you say I told you so. You were expecting it to come. Well the great news is that you can use expectation for positive experiences too.

One last key point or tip I want to say on expecting great things is to follow a simple strategy.

1. Think about what you want to experience.

2. Expect it to happen.

3. Go about your day and or weeks knowing it will happen and allow it /let it come to you.

If you force the idea but wanting, and wanting and wanting you usually cause the situation to stay away from you.

For me I work in a retail based industry, and I find that the customers I absolutely expect to come back and buy, usually don’t, but the ones I don’t really think will come back and buy are the ones that usually buy. The reason for this is that I expecting to attract great customers overall, but then sometimes I force it by wanting and wanting the customer to come in, rather then just trusting they will and allowing it to happen.

You can say its a fine line there with expectation and allowing. Just keep practising.

Once again I would like to hear your thoughts and experiences on these ideas from you.
